Welcome to the Town of Shelburne's sign permit application page 

As per Conditions of the Ontario Building Code, a building permit is required for all signs, except portable/mobile signs. Applications are first submitted through the County of Dufferin Building Department City View online portal.

Portable/Mobile sign permit application

You can purchase a sign permit for a temporary portable or mobile sign. Mobile signs are only permitted to remain up for a maximum of 30 days. To apply for a mobile sign permit, you need to:

• Submit a diagram and photo of the proposed sign
• Submit the application online or to Shelburne Town Hall located at 203 Main St. E. from Monday to Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 a.m.

The cost of a mobile sign permit is $100. You will receive a $75 refund when the sign is removed.
