Welcome to the Town of Shelburne’s Commercial Façade Improvement Grant Program. This initiative supports commercial property owners and tenants in revitalizing their building façades to enrich the visual appeal of Shelburne’s streetscape and strengthen the downtown’s heritage charm.

Program Overview

The program provides financial assistance to help redesign, restore, and renovate commercial building exteriors located within the Shelburne Business Improvement Area (SBIA). By refreshing signage, facades, and design elements, this grant encourages vibrant storefronts, increases foot traffic, promotes private investment, and fosters a more welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and customers alike.

Eligible applicants may receive up to a maximum of $13,500 in total funding to support improvements such as:

• Restoration of front and rear façades

• Heritage-appropriate signage upgrades

• Professional design and site planning

Funds are awarded after project completion and verification, with applications reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis until the first Monday in October or until available funding is fully allocated.
